I think the key is to find a diet that involves either food sources or disciplines that you feel comfortable with. The best diet in the world can only be followed for so long if you feel extremely deprived.

I like the weight watchers diet, because it was a discipline I felt comfortable with, and didn't limit me on what foods I could eat. I've been on it for about a year now and have kept off the 40 lbs. I lost.

If you are going on a diet for weight loss, be sure to include exercise as part of your daily routine. It is crucial to avoid plateaus. Good luck.

Difficult isn't the word. How is it that just a few months ago I was doing great, in fact, I lost 20 pounds in a 3 month span. I felt great. I was wearing a smaller size. It was awesome.

And then I stopped. I haven't gained it all back, but I feel crappy about it. It just seems so dumb really. Why, especially after getting a taste (no pun intended) of losing this stinking weight, did I give up?

So, yes, it's very difficult. But I figure, as long as I take more steps forward than back...I must be winning. Right?

Very. I used to be slim before I had a baby so I never really had a strict diet. But now, my son is 6.5 months old and I'm still 7 kg overweight, and I can't stick to a diet because I'm used to eating whatever I want during pregnancy, lol.

It was really hard for the 1st month. I am into my 10th week now and have lost 20 pounds. It's still hard sometimes but, not nearly like it was at the beginning.
