I aggree with all of the above! There are safe vitamins that you can give to toddlers. Does your child take vitamin supplements? These won't replace a proper diet, but help supplement the one that they have which in turn, may help build up the imune system. Unfortunately, we don't control what are children are eating at day care, and more often than not, it's junk food!!!

Perhaps your daycare needs to do some cleaning. Or the parents are bringing sick children to the daycare and your toddler is being exposed to their illness. Take a close look at the daycare. Is your child getting balanced meals at the daycare and home. A healthy immunse system will generally keep children healthy. One other possibility is the daycare might be using harsh chemicals to clean. Children coming in contact with these chemicals by touching surfaces being cleaned will have an alergic reaction.

I agree wholeheartedly with David. Our food supply isn't very nutritious anymore and in my opinion most people should be supplementing. What does your child eat? If he was fed formula then he probably has a very weak immune system and you should find out what childrens vitamin supplements he can take. Is he on a bottle or purees? If he's on a bottle look for a vitamin supplement you can add to the bottle. If he's eating pureed food, baby food is not the way to go. It isnt very nuritious and really the baby should be getting fresh veggies steamed (not boiled!) and pureed, or raw veggies pureed (the most nutritious option), meat should be slow cooked or steamed and again pureed. Plenty of fresh pureed fruit. Use organic veggies when possible and when using organic veggies go ahead and leave the skin on (wash well of course). Your baby gets sick at nursery because there are tons of other babies there and many have diseases. Look up what foods are rich in certain vitamins (especially C!!) and feed those to your baby being careful not to cook the vitamins completely out of them. Do not boil!!

I work with a number of parents of chronically ill children. When we look at the data showing us how less-nutritious our food is today, it can be very difficult to provide enough nutritional support to support a strong immune system in a child.

It is also increasingly known that formula does not contain all of the components of breast milk. Those components activate an immune system and have been proven to support long-term health in a child.

Seek the services of a professional with training to help you learn what you need to know about optimal nutrition. Don't just look at it as "what pill should I take?" Instead look at it in terms of "what does the body need to make sure it works the way it is supposed to?"

Coconut oil, coconut milk and coconut meat all contribute to improving the immune system. Consuming coconut products can boost the immune system and will probably be just what the doctor ordered for your little one. This information that I will post may be more helpful.
