On my 20 week scan the tech said my placenta is in front of the baby. Meaning it goes: Uterus, placenta, baby, uterus. Could this be why i am not really feeling the baby move very much yet??? She is moving constantly during the u/s! Anyone else experience this??

I am 21 weeks! First time preggo! When did you first feel your baby move with or without the placenta in front lol!

I had this but was still feeling the baby move at 18 weeks. My placenta moved up on it's own in the following weeks with no intervention.

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant with number 2. I have this and it is called anterior placenta placement. Nothing to worry about no big deal. Yes because the placenta attached to the front of your uterus you will have a hard time feeling baby for a while, they say that with your second you feel them sooner but I didn't feel my baby moving until 23-24 weeks and it was still very light. Once they grow bigger and stronger you will feel everything. The placenta is acting like a sponge right now and if the baby kicks a sponge then not much motion if any will be transferred. Everything is fine but yes it will take longer for you to feel baby move due to the placenta being attached to the front of your uterus.

You bet it can!
My 2nd child had her placenta in the front and I didn't feel the first movement with her until about 18-19 weeks. It makes a huge difference. I am also 21 weeks pregnant with baby #4 and his placenta is at the back and bottom and I felt my first flutters with him at about 14 weeks. REALLY early.

Congrats and Good luck

I have a uterine septum so when i was pregnant my son and the placenta was all on the left side of my uterus. It is a condtion in which can cause pre-term labor and i went into labor once at 33 weeks but had my son at 35 weeks. He was and is healthy.
You should really look this up on the internet. I learnt so much about my septum on the net.
As long as your doctor is not worried then you shouldn't worry.
Good luck and congrats

My cousin and i are both 9 months pregnant. We have compared notes on an (almost) daily basis. My cousin's placenta was in front. It seemed to take her longer than me to feel the baby move and even longer for her husband to be able to feel, but now her baby moves all the time. The baby is in a head down position and she is just waiting to deliver....oh, and the plan is for a natural, vaginal delivery. Hope this helps!

specific. My placenta became into in the direction of the front and on the factor of my cervix. each and every little thing became out locate nonetheless. in spite of the reality that it in no way "moved", it did replace place with regards to the cervix as my uterus stretched and grew. Its noticeably probable which you will nevertheless have a superbly usual being pregnant. they'd do an further ultrasound or 2 to maintain on eye on issues. Sorry, yet you wasted your money on the fetal doppler (except this is a scientific grade doppler). lol Its relaxing to have, yet you in all probability is easily not waiting to hearken to lots until you're on your 0.33 trimester. it particularly is that in case you hear something in any respect. some females do have success with it, yet not many. quite in case you have an anterior placenta. All it is going to do is reason rigidity once you won't have the ability to locate the pulse.
