She is head of our year (180 boys age 16), lots of people talk to her, she is verrrrrrrrry attractive but she is very sensible and will never engage in a secual relationship with anyone of us, she just talks about things at school and stuff. Is there even anything wrong with teachers and students being friends? How far is the limit?

There's being friends within school and then there's talking to them on msn...... I have given out my email address to some students so they could email me some coursework they were doing, but made sure that it was a completely separate email address from the one I use on msn. I set up a separate account just for this so that I could not be added as a contact.

Hi John, there is nothing wrong with your teacher having an MSN chat with you all, as long as it stays within the boundaries you have stated (School stuff) there should be no problems.
She is a professional person and would not jeopardise her career by trying anything on on MSN.

It would appear that you would like her to try something ???

And that is normal too, there are a lot of hormones flying around at age 16 - best direct them at girls your own age and use the facility the teacher has set up for its correct purpose.

Working as a teacher I find that MSN can be a helpful tool to make myself available to students. There are rules, such as it has to be school oriented homework questions or what-have-you so I don't get drug into their world of drama.

As far as adults being on MSN, I think you have to be over 18 to fully use all aspects of MSN anyway. Not only that, but MSN is a great way of communicating with our friends as well.

You have to ask why an adult is talking on MSN at all, let alone to adolescent boys.
It's not normal. She is either spying on you or indulging in something rather nasty.

Teachers can be excellent role models and provided nobody gets dumb about it, shouldn't be a problem.
