I think we will have a woman head coach in the NFL before a woman is president. Men in general don't like to work for women neither do women. At least half the votes come from working people who have had a woman boss. So we may have women capable of doing the job, but this is still America and we are as racist, and sex-est, and homophobic as can be. So I think it will be safe to say NO, and that it won't happen in my life time. The republicans would love to see a non-white male or female on the democratic ticket they know that would be their best chance of victory in 2008.

Truth is.....I think that neither that, nor an african-american will be elected anytime in the near future....

I think we talk a good game about prejudice being a thing of the past, but, when people get behind those curtains and vote.....prejudice will rear its ugly head again....

And...for the record, I believe we will elect an african-american before a woman....

Does it matter? I think the sex of the person is the last qualification I would look at. If they share my views and have a plan I like, and are of good moral character than that is the person I want.

I'm in no hurry, I can wait for one that is actually qualified and honest enough to do the job. ERA does not apply to elected officials.

Not this election cycle, but it will happen. We will one day have a woman running who is reasonable and respects herself more than her own ambition. On that day I will probably vote for that woman.
Hillary? never
