The Good Old Days - All days when old are good
The grass was greener.
I remember when . . . . .
We were wiser then.
People seem to get nostalgic about a lot of things they weren't so crazy about the first time around.

I think things are a lot different now. I think we have a lot more material things than back then, and the drug culture has exploded now. When I was growing up you had to be home for the street lights coming on, now kids hang around outside shops or on corners late at night drinking bicardi breezers or buckfast. (I know not all kids are like that, but a majority are).
When I was at school you never heard of drugs but just six years later when my sister went to high school, they were dealing it from the toilets.
Although some things are making a come back, but I wont be seen dead in a pair of leggings. If you wore them the first time you shouldn't wear them when the come back into fashion. Whats next? Ski pants? Yikes!

The 60's where the most permissive. Since then we've been slowly coming back to near normal. Though I don't think things will ever be a rational moral society again.

I don't think it was more permissive, but more carefree time. There was an innocence about the 80's that I really miss.

The biggest difference I notice is that youngsters are more confident younger than when I was their age. No bad thing.

I cannot imagine a more permissive time than the current. It started in the sixties and its been snowballing out of control ever since.

Yes, things are very different now. Society has opened itself up to so much.
But, Jesus Christ is the answer for the world today.
