What they are entitled to and what they will get are two different things. If a person leaves a will, that should take care of everything. But wills are often challenged. The courts (or the family) may decide to give someone money just to get rid of them.

If he is wealthy he would be better of f leaving something small to the 3 kids stateing why it is less. The 4 kids would recieve the most due to the love he has . NOW >>>>> You will break the 3s hearts if u do not leave equal amounts to all children involved . This is bad b/c eventually those kids will be family ... Maybe after you death. in thier old age they will realize they need each other ..... Don't cause unwanted feelings within family... Its not fair Court battles, unneeded feelings r bad!!! Why do u care you'll be dead!!!! Sometimes people relate money to love & its unfortunate b/c money has nothing to do w/ love. A will states clearly your wishes however, probate & extended court dates will defeat your wishes that some kids get more than others . In the end written letters w/ even amounts r best . Do not measure your love 4 your children w/ amounts of money!!!!!!! Its hard enough 4 the children to loose you upon your death . Do not let misguided feelings that each child may have ,...come between thier love as siblings. Equal amounts 4 all kids{7} leave no questions for future court problems. The children will all be equal within thier minds. This is much healthier in the end. What do u care you'll be dead!!! leaving something special 4 each 1 with a letter , will mean a whole lot 4 each child. Why would you want to control your kids lives from the grave???????????????????????????/ Special added gift s should be specified in thier letters w/ reasons why. A treasure each one will cherish. If you r smart you will give it away before your death. so it is accepted honestly and not bostfully..This also gives you the chance to see thier feelings for the gift if it is given from the heart.. Useing your possesions to start family fueds is also bad.::: be careful w/ this one.... Talk to all your children together before hand. . M y father did this so that we are clear as to, his wishes. He is a very fair man I might add. This adds great respect in his childrens eyes... I hope you take note!!!!

They are totally entitled to his estate. The will can be challenged, in favour of children from the first marriage.

His will has to specify what the first three get, be it one dollar, or specifically that they get nothing, and they can still contest, and if they are minors, there will most likely be a court battle over it.

If he is a White Man, then yes. Otherwise I am sure his new wife could scream discrimination and keep it all.
