TAKE OUT THE HINGE PINS AND LAY THEM DOWN ON THE DRIVEWAY. HIT THEM WITH A HAMMER IN THE MIDDLE SO THAT THEY ARE SLIGHTLY BENT. PUT THEM BACK IN AND THE DOOR WONT RATTLE OR SWING OPEN OR CLOSED WITHOUT A SLIGHT RESISTANCE. THIS REPAIR IS INVISIBLE WHILE OTHER REPAIR PROCEDURES MAY REQUIRE PAINT TOUCH-UP OR BE VISIBLE.

If you don't want to remove it, take the striker plate (where the doorknob thingy closes into the doorframe) and move it slightly back to wards the door stop trim (the trim that stops the door from swinging past 'closed'). You might need to remove the striker plate today, fill the screw holes with toothpicks and carpenter's glue, let it dry a day or so and then re-install it closer to the stop with the screw holes in a slightly different place. This should work for you.
A super easy way to do it is to buy some foam weatherstrip and put it around the doorstop trim. This will "shim it out" a bit and possibly stop the rattle.
Good Luck!

Most doors become lose from continued use. Tighten all screws. Some screws are not strong enough. Replace them with longer screws. The weather striping in the door frame can also be replaced which will eliminate any slack.

find what part of door is hitting against frame and put a small piece of foam insulation strip with self adhesive in that place.or if you know how to move the wood door stops, move them so the door closes tight against stops.

it depends on whats rattling ,if its the hinges a good lithium spray will help.if their is glass in the doors u might try finding whitch panes are rattling and put a small bead of clear silicone around to hold in place.if their is trim around the glass and u ary handy you might go one step further and remove tha molding than apply the silicone than replace molding .hope this helps.
