Absolutely..... I never get rid of anything. I have a chest I keep so many memories in. It's not me clinging to a past relationship. It's me holding a memory that helped mold who I am now. Every person I've encountered has left a part of themselves with me..... and I've given them a part of myself in return. To toss away the things that were passed back and forth between us..... would be like tossing away a part of the person. I can't do that. So I save...... and every once in a while, I pull things out..... just to remind me...... just to remember. :)

No, I usually threw stuff away from past relationships. The funny thing is there's one gift that I didn't throw away when I broke up with one ex, I didn't really mean to keep it, but somehow I kept forgetting to throw it away and then I never really thought about it anymore. Turns out a year later we got back together and been married for over 2 years now. And I'm really glad I still have that gift to this day :)

That depends, but usually I do keep every single thing from the happier relationships. For the not-so-great ones, it doesn't hurt me in any way to throw stuff away, but it doesn't bother me and i don't get flooded with memories looking at things from those relationships if i do keep them. They are reduced to mere objects.

But, for the relationships that went really well, I keep every single thing you could possibly imagine. I keep the letters in a folder, i have old e-mails and texts kept in a thumb drive, the smaller gifts in a jewelry box, and the bigger things at the back of my wardrobe - just to remember the good times, despite how bad the ending. Even though i keep them, i usually don't like to have to look at them when I'm down, or lonely.

My girl friends have rituals where they burn, bury, or rip apart everything after every relationship, and I can never imagine doing that. I guess its because I don't like to just let go and erase the past like that. I feel like if i throw everything away, its like nothing ever happened.

I move on, but past relationships and the guys i had them with are still gonna be a part of my history.

I have way too many things from the past. I am hoping to someday look at them and smile a bit, that is if I can remember who is the person I have w/me in the photo or the sender of the card. lol.

For photos, & cards They are already useless. I throw them a long time ago but for gifts... it depends. If it's an expensive jewelries and other precious expensive stuffs then why not. I can keep them in a very safe place. LOL! (--,)

It depends on how well the relationship went and the current status with the person. If the relationship ended for a good reason and you're still friendly with the person, I see no reason not to. If I'm angry at the person I will tend to get rid of things to make myself feel better.

I throw some stuff away but the photos I always keep. I just can not ever consider that trash. These people were a part of my life, you can't throw these tokens of our life together away.
Admittedly I don't look over them very often, but I keep it anyway. I have always found it strange that people can erase someone from their lives like that. Throwing it away is almost....bitter.

Yep, yet i've got in basic terms achieved it for one lady. We met in Florida 25 years in the past at Busch Gardens and spent the day using a similar curler coaster a minimum of a dozen situations. whilst her excursion team had to go away I had to chase her bus to get her handle. She threw it out her window! nicely, we wrote to one yet another for some years, despatched pictures. no longer something ever progressed previous that, yet I nonetheless have each letter and photograph. Why? i do no longer likely be attentive to... yet I do!

All of the above.

I guess I could untie the past relationships.

They haven't moved in quite a while.
