Currently, since N. Korea can and likely is trading information and other things with Iran, there is little other than sanctions, or what amounts to a slap on the wrist to encourage them to disarm their nuclear weapons.

There are no incentives. N. Korea's leader, Kim Jong, seems to have a god complex. As he places thousands of his own people in concentration camps, they continue to worship him (though it seems to be a rote worship based on terror). They are even more brainwashed than the people who followed the Jim Jones cult back in the 70's. Aside from his extreme hatred of the United States, I think he's too far gone for anything or anyone to cause him to disarm. He is a danger to both South Korea and the United States.
