It was Christmas and Betty kept getting mystery presents. She thought they were from the guy she fancies at the office, Henry, but they turned out to be from her goofy boyfriend Walter. Big disappointment, especially as she had been having fantasies about kissing Henry - until some other girl snogged him at the Xmas do.
Sophia decided to put her relationship with Daniel to the test over Christmas, encouraging him to see and kiss other women. He told her that he had sweaty palms when he saw her, which meant he loved her. She just laughed and told him it was lust... So he set off to see if sweaty hands really did mean love or lust. Lots of flirting, but love it was.
Daniel gave Betty the task of finding a suitable replacement, should she decide to leave leave and join the other magainzine. Eventually she decided on that glamorous blonde receptionist Amanda, who once had a fling with Daniel but is now 'so over him' - or at least pretends to be.
Betty chose Amanda after she helped to set up a Christmas party - and stopped Daniel from flirting with some lingerie models.
Daniel gave Betty a set of business cards for her new job with Sophia at MYW magazine.

basically, there is a big office party and danial is going to propose to sofia.
as you remember in the priveous episode sofia offered betty a place to work for her magazine.
betty is trying to find a new assistant for danial and amanda really wants to be it.
daniels ex girlfriend is at the office party and they start getting with each other, and to prove amanda was capable she barged in and told him to stop because he was practially engaged.
bettys lover friend in accountance also gets her a gift and she is totally smitten. they are staring at each other and daniels ex gf gets of with him to annoy betty. and betty leavess

betty had a case of 'do i really love walter'....'or do i love henry from accounts'
daniel was checking out if his feelings for sophia were real wih the sweaty palm test.
betty was trying to find a new assistant for daniel so she can move to her new job with sophia.....
not gonna tell you how it finished though, try and catch it tonight on e4, don't want to spoil it to much ;-D

Right...
At the beginning Daniel was having sex with Sophia. Then she said she had to go and while she was gone he could see wether she was the one by looking at other women to see if they made his heart race and palms sweat.
Betty had a dream about kissing the guy who isn't her bf.
Then, at Mode, Daniel announced Betty was going to her new job. Betty got some bye bye prezzies (book and snowglobe) which turn out to be from her bf, but she thinks are from Daniel.
Amanda wants Betty's job. She organises the office party and Betty says she has done well but the person who gets her job has to be able to protect Daniel.
Also, Daniel buys 5 rings and tries to choose which one to propose to Sophia with. Amanda tries on one of them and it gets stuck.
At the office party, Betty is looking at the guy with glasses who isn't her bf and there is this massive boom boom noise that is meant to be her heart racing.
Amanda then proves to Betty that she can look after Daniel, by running in when he is kissing his ex girlfriend and telling him to stop kissing "that slag". Daniel looks at his palms and goes "Dry as a bone," That's when he realises Sophia is the one for him.
Betty says Amanda is perfect for her job. The ex gf storms off saying "There are other men at this party,"
Daniel then gives Betty a goodbye present of a little silver box with some business cards in. She realises that the other pressies weren't from him.
Betty goes and she sees the guy with glasses who isn't her bf (sorry, 4got his name) kissing Daniel's ex girlfriend. Betty goes home, upset.
Amanda is looking into Daniel's office at him and the ring flies off her hand because she is still in love with him and her palms are sweating.
Then it cuts to Betty's house. Her bf comes over, and while he is there the guy from work who isn't her bf phones and tells her sister to tell Betty to ring him. The sister makes a note of his number on some paper, then looks up at Betty and her bf laughing together.She rips up the note.

you can watch it again today on channel 4. or on E4 i forgot the time its cumin on channel 4 i think its cumin on at 3.50 after The O.C
