there are no women only tours i think but if there is a big group of women travelling together, u could always ask the travel agent to ensure that there are no men included in the group & keep it exclusively for women. but when u have a mixed crowd & since they are on a tour together, the men grow a protective attitude towards the women & its definitely a better trip. but then each has their own individual preferences & likings.

I purely accomplished a fifteen-day out to India as a solo lady senior tourist. I utilized Indian Moments in Jaipur as my return and forth agent having searched the internet for achieveable brokers.

Answerers #2 +#3 India is safe for women if you follow usual precautions..but there are many reasons she could want a women's only tour..
Some western women find the cultural differences in India a little hard to adjust to and may feel safer to have women's only tour. Or maybe for religious or cultural reasons..like she is a Muslim and can't travel with men who are non marham. Or just prefers to travel with women.
1)Tigertravel is an agency that specialises in tours to India for women only

2)I found this Canadian travel agency that offers what they call 'WOW' tours. Which are women only and designed for women traveling alone or with friends of ages. They have a 'marvels of India' tour

3)I had a problem with the website but solana travel do women only spiritual tours to India. Here is the contact Soluna Tours, , 800 231-9811, 928 779-7060; info@SolunaTours.com
4)This agency does special women only cultural tours of Rajasthan. The website's server is experiencing difficulties. Here is the cache http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:m0iQChzpn6gJ:www.123incredibleindia.com/aboutus.html+women+only+tourist+agency+india,&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=uk&ie=UTF-8
Women only tours and travel agencies are becoming more popular. Here is a list of women only travel agencies. I checked on all their website..None offer any current tours of India..but a few of the larger agencies offer tours to many diverse places..So I would email some because I'm sure tours of India are coming up!

Why you gave "torsten b" a thumb down? His answer is absolutely correct. Myself, I have lived in India for 5 years and India IS a very safe country for tourists! I never had any problems there.
My sister had been raped twice, when she visited the U.S. and my other sister got robbed in the UK -- but never any problems in India.....
India IS safe for tourists - no matter if male or female, as long as you respect the laws, traditions, customs, etc over there.
That's why I will give "torsten b" a thumb up!!!!
