I have had ZERO problems with Tide with bleach alternative (liquid form) on my colors. I use Tide with bleach alternative on my whites in powder form. I find that it makes my whites brighter than using the liquid. It also gets rid of most stains with no problem. For really tough stains, rub in some of the liquid, then rub on top of it the powder. I then let it sit for a while then wash.
One problem I have read about with Tide is that some people break out in a rash from the detergent. But I think it is from using to much of it. I also have found that the Arm and Hammer for sensitive skin also works well.
You also might want to try turning your clothing inside out before washing them. That also helps with fading. Also note that some laundry (mainly dark colors...especially blacks) fade the fastest and it has nothing to do with your detergent. You can also try Woollite for just your darks. The detergent in Woollite is gentle on fabrics.
You can also try not washing your laundry on a full cycle. Try a gentle or "press" cycle. The key thing you need to note in all of this is that the water is mainly responsible for fading because it has chlorine in it. The soap is what dilutes the water. And try not to wash your color laundry with your whites!!! ;-)

My absolute favorite laundry detergent is Tide Mountain Spring scent. OMG it smells so good, especially when you hang the laundry on the line.

Powder or Liquid doesnt relatively make a distinction its the components in them that reasons harm to the atmosphere. maximum laundry detergents accessible will contain phosphates and different chemical compounds that harm the atmosphere. instead you need to purchase thoroughly organic and organic liquid and powder detergents that are thoroughly organic and organic and produced from organic products - no phosphates & chemical compounds. extra desirable on your clothing, extra desirable for you and extra desirable for the atmosphere.

Tide.. Most definately...Used other laundry detregents in the past but Tide seems to do the best job without having to add a bunch of other products just to help it clean.

Tide or Cheer. Cheer protects you colours from fading. I never use Surf, or Extra.
