The government in their ultimate wisdom decided to change it early this year.

I don't know how you missed it - it's been on the news for weeks...

Congress decided that it would save energy if it was lighter during the evening time. They thought we would need the lights less. They moved up the date for our Day Light Savings time in order to save energy used to keep lights on.

Because our government made it that way to try and save on fuel and energy cost. They figured the more daylight the less used.

It's been in all the papers and on the news and stuff...They changed it for the next 3 or 4 years.

..basically they changed it for energy reasons and possibly safety of the communities, etc ..I bet they will tell you if you watch the news...
