I am due in 2 wks and I want to get Easter pics done of my daughter. Do you think this will be too early to take her when she is a week or so old?

You may be able to find someone to come to your home to take photos.

When I worked in a portrait studio, people would bring their newborns in all the time. No. It's not too early. You're child will likely have her first picture taken at the hospital.

I remember once, this woman brought her three day old girl into the studio. The baby was so sweet, dressed in lace and pink, with one of those bands on her head. We propped her up on the pillow and I focused the camera, and just when I took the shot, the baby smiled. It was probably the sweetest experience I had as a photographer, and the best picture I ever took.

I took all 3 of mine to the photographer within weeks of their births. Because your baby is being born during a pretty nasty flu season if you know that a lot of people in your area are sick with colds/flu I'd hold off a bit. People will be just as happy to see your beautiful baby holding a bunny a few weeks late ;)

Good luck!!!

Do not use 'flash': as long as there is no bright light to hurt the baby's eyes, it's okay!
