IT IS JUST THE MATTER OF CONSISTENCY.EVENTHOUGH DHONI HITS HE IS CONSISTENT BUT AFRIDI WILL JUST HIT A SIX AND GETS OUT.THATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DHONI AND AFRIDI.

I think there's a just a slight difference between both the players...
They both can bat well...
They can turn the match on their own...
Watch the field spread as both make their mark on the crease...
The difference might just be that at the moment who is in the form, Afridi has hit the fastest century and has hit highest number of sixes, whereas Dhoni is getting towards the mark of being one of the Best Wicketkeeper batsman ever...
The only difference in their batting style is that Dhoni sometimes hits the shots which are out of the Cricket Coaching Manual, whereas Afridi hits from the coaching manual and he can hit a short ball on front foot for a six...

Well the difference between Dhoni and Afridi is primarily their batting styles and their confidence in difficult situations. Afridi is technically a better batsman but Dhoni is very unconventional & imaginative in his style. Both are rash batsman and can lose their wickets with just one "urge" to hit. Both are aggressive. The biggest advantage that Afridi has is that he can come in at any situation and ease the pressure. Also Afridi is a decent all-rounder.

First it is not dhooni, it is Dhoni. Coming to the answer, dhoni and afridi are both big hitters but dhoni has got the ability to play safe when the situation asks unlike afridi for whom it is hit or get out.

both are top most biggest hitters in the world. they did not have the fear in their eyes for any ball. but, now...dhoni is in the form and afridi not. the only difference is dhoni is keeper & afridi is opener.
