Love without comfort isn't love. Love should embrace you like a warm hug. Love should be like coming home. Love should be a soft place to fall. If the person you love & who loves you can't comfort you then something is wrong.

My comfort is love. I also find comfort in a good cry, as well as writing songs, painting. Art, music, nature -- all the beauty in the world is a comfort & inspires me to keep going even when I'm faced with pain & ugliness in life. The most comforting feeling is being in the arms of my loved ones. The most comforting sound to me is my cat purring next to me...That is peace to me.

A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.

After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.

Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.

I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.

I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.

If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.

I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.

Love and blessings

love defined within the norms of social and religious limits always brings comfort, as it is part of human nature. Without love life can not prosper and develop ideally .
Creator of mankind has kept comfort for male and female beings in love to ensure growth of life on globe . So it can not be said that there is no peace in love

I am married to the man I felt "comfortable" with.
There were taller guys, more handsome guys, more well educated men, more eloquent, more athletic...but finally
at the end of a day, having someone to flop on a couch with and not have to entertain is a good thing.
We can be quiet together or in separate rooms and find peace....with a little encouraging call: "You okay, love?" "Yep, I'm fine". "Want dinner?", Feel like going out... Calling out?
Being comfortable with someone is knowing peace.
Being free to be yourself with someone else is real friendship...and that is gift!

you definitely can have love without comfort as every dying person finds out. I doubt very much though that you could have comfort without love. Comfort is like a the sea, when everything is calm, it just can't get any better.

I do not really see the connection btwn the two - sometimes it can be comforting to love and other times not.. maybe love that is not dependent on comfort or anything for that matter is more pure.

And ahhh, I have so many comforts and joys - - you can bring that to most anything - if you have the right attitude and vision..

So many people are talking about love as if they choose to love only those who make them euphorically happy. What about a child who is emotionally disturbed and you love them with all your heart-Your life will not be comfortable or peaceful for a long time but your love for them will sustain you.

It could be a paradox that there is comfort even in some forms of the discomfort of "love". My comfort is peace.

Love without comfort does not exist, how can someone love someone if he doesn't feel the comfort. My comfort depends on the fact that all the people I meet are true to me.
