YEAH FOR YOU AND YOUR PARTNER!!! My partner and I are trying to conceive currently as well and I haven't found a LOT of material, but I am reading "The Lesbian Parenting Guide" by D. Merilee Clunis. It's definitely covering some unfamiliar territory. My other suggestion that I have received from the gay community is if you do an online search for "Living Will" and "Child custody" paperwork, you can generally find enough paperwork to have notarized and leave in the care of an attorney whom will ensure that your "rights" are upheld to the fullest extent of the law. **HRC Online might have the forms, I believe that's where I found ours last time. My partner and I are taking these precautions in case something should happen to me (the future biological parent) or her, the one with a pension. PLEASE email me and let me know how things work out! Also, are you using a sperm bank? Any recommendations on doctor's willing to work with you as a couple, or banks willing to ship to your home? We're having a bit of difficulty (being from the Midwest) locating a "Reproductive Endocrinologist" willing to sign off on the sperm bank paperwork....Good luck and God Bless!

properly in case you haven't any longer have been given the money and you rather desire a new child i'm afraid you will merely could desire to smile and bear it the previous trend way until one in all you conceive. regrettably one would not inevitably grow to be pregnant continually on the 1st attempt. that's why you come across many heterosexual couples who talk approximately attempting to get pregnant and it taking a length of time. different than this the only suggestion I even have is instead of your buddy come across a guy or woman who's seed has been shown to be particularly virile (he has countless infants) then use him to get pregnant and by no skill touch him back. sure having to be with a guy may well be distasteful and you hate it yet devoid of money you would be able to desire to invite how undesirable do you opt for the youngster?

That's awesome that you are trying to conceive! :) I can't say that I've experienced anything the same--I'm only 15--but I've seen plenty of shows about it, so if that helps I can tell you some of that stuff.
It seems that most of the kids on the shows are really happy about having two moms/two dads and they're usually very confused as to why people think it's wrong. And if you think about it, many people consider being gay to be "taboo" or something, so they'd rather not talk about it, preventing them from asking questions. And if they do, it's usually just like, "how'd you do that? did you adopt?" Your kids might ask something like, "then who's my real dad" or something, but just answer as honestly as you can. It's much better to clear things like that up when they're little.

I hope that helped.
Good luck! :)

My life partner and I are also trying to conceive, and we have done a lot of research on the subject. We are very excited about being able to have a child and/or children. We are both more concerned about how the world will see them, and the questions that their friends will have and how they will be able to handle questions about having two moms. Two loving parents who will love, support, encourage them are all that a child needs. Good luck to you!

Wow. Lulu needs a good, strong punch in the mouth. Anyway, my friend Crystal has two biological children, and she's a lesbian. Lots of people wonder if her children are adopted, or if they're her niece and nephew. She tells them that they are in fact, all hers, and just because she's a lesbian does NOT mean that she is infertile.

lesbians and gays can't get pregnant. those who you normally see are having adopted children.
children would normally asked why is their father a woman or vise versa and then parents will answer them that they are being hurt from the partner previously or they will try to avoid answering the question.
