depends on what kind... I recommend gas permeable hard lens, that's what I wear.... they cost $60. per lens, but they help keep your eyes from changing and with proper care they can last a looooooooong time. My lenses are almost 4 years old. So I paid $120. for my lenses 4 years ago....

Four years ago I purchased just coloured lensess for about $170.00. If I needed them for correction of eye sight it would me more $$$.
A lot of places sell them for less than $50.00 (such as gag stores...) but these could harm your eyes and cause infections. (trust me I know) Go to an ophthalmologist tell them what you want, they will measure your eye and do an eye exam and then they will fit you with contact lenses and will show you how to put them on, off, clean them and take general care of them. Contact lenses are to only last 1 to 2 years. After that, small scratches on the lense can cause bacteria or dirt to get in and that can cause major havoc on your own eyes.

There are different kinds: disposibles, soft contacts, and hard contacts. I wear 6 month soft contacts (which I've taken care of and worn for a year and half with no problems). For two pairs they were $110. Hard contacts are about $150 and are long lasting and good for strong prescriptions. Disposibles are good especially if you're lazy about maintenace, and they probably cost a little bit more than soft contacts and are also ideal if you wear your contacts 5 times a week or whatever

huge difference in price from cheap standard lenses that you have to take out after eight hours and demand more effort and care to the latest day and night ones
that could be left on up to a month for about 70$ per month...
it's a serious matter, that you should ask a real professionel opitican...

depends on what type you want.
daily disposal will cost you most because you need to throw contact lenses on daily basis.
conventional will be cheapest because they can be used up to 1 year.
check http://www.lenscompare.com to compare and find the best deal for contact lenses.

whatever you do go to specsavers. They're wicked. i pay £15.50 a month and they're the ones you sleep in constantly for a month. They have more water in than other contacts and let your eyes breath more. I swear by them. other than that they have the daily ones which are a pain because you have to remember to change them or the monthly one where you take them out every night. they both cost around £12 if i remember rightly.
Honestly though the monthly sleep in ones are the best, i'd go with those. although if your new to contacts specsaver won't let you have them to start you'll have to start with the take out ones for a couple of months then upgrade cus at first they're a little harsh on your eyes.

depends on where you buy them and what type you want, soft or hand lenses, daily of montly disposable ones, all priced differently. i get mine from specsavers, monthly disoposables soft lenses, priced at £10 per month. maybe ringing around a few of your local optitions will help.

20- 30 $ a box, if your prescriptions in your eyes are different you'd have to buy two boxes
