Yes. Homosexual behavior has been observed and documented as occuring in hundreds of species in nature.
You can read more about it in this book:
Bagemihl, Bruce. Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity. St. Martin's Press, 1999. ISBN 0-312-19239-8
This book not only lists animals where that behavior is observed, but also provides sourcing and references to the relevant journal articles and other studies for each animal mentioned, as it is essentially a compilation of a large number of studies on the issue.
It is important to note that the observations are primarily of literally natural occurrences of homosexuality in animals in natural settings and not in artificial, laboratory conditions.
A list pulled directly from the book is available here:

I've read in a book that there is over 450 gay species/animals out there in the world that we know about. I read it in Time magazine or something related to that.

Yes, animals can be gay. Penguins, dogs, and cows have all been proven to have homosexual tendencies, but I'm sure it happens in all species.

Dolphins and chimps have a higher rate of homosexuality and bisexuality then humans do! Guess that's how Flipper got his name!
