seems to be pretty obvious the problem is a dead/weak battery. I mean if you need a jump to start the car how much more do you need to realize it's the battery. The fact that it runs fine once jumped is because the engine will charge the battery while its running and so your lights and radio etc will still work, but when you have to turn it on it depends purely on battery power. Call CAA and get a new battery, problem solved.

Sounds like the battery is bad. It continues running for a long time because the alternator is fine and is supplying the power while running. Take the battery to an auto shop and have them check it out. Most auto stores do this for free.

You have good answers, I vote for the one on the alternator if your battery is less than 4 years old.

Take it to Autozone and have them check the battery. They will gladly do it for FREE. Sounds like the battery has dead cells and will not hold a charge. If you need more help click my icon and contact me.
