Writing it down is a good one. Get someone to test you on it, prompting when necessary. Have 'flash' cards with you when you're giving your talk. Refer to them if necessary. Good luck!

Depends how confident you are of your ability to communicate; As a teacher I'd suggest you make bullet points of the items you want to include on 'idiot cards' to read while you're talking then either;
1) Extemporise - just work out your introduction and learn that, then just talk. If you are reasonably confident and are presenting in your mother tongue, it's the best way to keep the presentation interesting, fluid and spontaneous but you need a good knowledge of your subject. Use your prompt cards to keep you on track.
2) If you want to present a 'speech' a good trick actors use is to record it and keep playing it back to yourself, even when you are asleep! By re-writing it over and over you are learning the movements of the hand, not the sounds of the words. Re-reading your script aloud is a good tool as well. Keep a copy of the script (or those prompt cards again) on hand to keep you on track, but remember to LOOK AT THE AUDIENCE. No matter how interesting your subject is, you'll bore pople if you are just mumbling into the lectern the whole time.
Hope that helps, and good luck.

I wouldnt learn it word for word. Your jut going to get mixed up when your nervous. Just keep reading it again and again. Then have 6 small cards for every half a page of work and put afew key points that will trigger your memory on what you have to remember. Keep practicing speaking it rather than writing it. The more and more you say it the more it will flow.
Good luck

First of all, you must understand your topic. Then make an outline on cue cards. DO NOT MEMORIZE THE WHOLE SPEECH. Then as you speak just look a follow the cue card outline. Glance down at the cue cards then look at your audience as you speak.

This may sound silly but I find it helps if you turn it in to a song. Maybe use the melody from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but use your talk as the lyrics.

try drawing the main points of it in a mind map, so then when you talk about one point, it will jog your memory for the next bit. also, maybe try colour coding bits to help recall it

I would just re-read it, and try to do it in front of a fake audience without the paper.....and go in with confidence. dont be scared you can do it
