you would set the data from least to greatest....then you would try to find the median,,,......ok just look below okay..
use this data 3,7,9,14,16,19,19,25,28 the median is16....Q1 is 8 and q3 is 22....because 16 is in the middle....and on the left 7 and 9 is in the middle so u would add 7+9 then divided by 2 and get your answer then do it for the other side for Q3

It helps to draw a cumulative frequency chart first and plot your box and whiskers chart underneath to the same scale. On the graph find the median and interquartile range. The Interquartile range should be the whide part of your chart and the median is the line in this.

on your calculator i know you have to set the graph shape to Boxplot. Also, Max and min are the ends of the whiskers, 1st quartile and third quartile are the edges of the box, and the line in the middle is the median. The link to wiki should explain it better.
