its unfortunate that both these talented players have been plagued by injuries or by the wear and tear of many nba seasons in the L.

Williams is a great ball handler with good court vision and a decent outside shot. he doesnt put up major numbers on either end, but he is a decent starting point for the nba.

payton unfortunately is past his prime. he may have a good game once in a while, but the days of him being the "glove" are far behind him.

in comparing the two NOW, you would have to give the nod to williams. in terms of leadership, experience and court savvy, you could give that award to Payton. in their prime, Payton of course is the better player

I f we are talking right now jason williams is better since his stats are up.but if we are talking about the whole carrer then i take gary payton.

The tougher one is Payton you always see him talking to everybody and scticking to everybody.

Both run the offense pretty good so i dont have a favorite.

Defense gary why do you think people call him "the glove"

people don't be attentive to the way Bibby spreads the floor so nicely. He has been underrated his total existence. Chalmers nonetheless desires particularly some artwork. He has super velocity and whatnot, yet makes undesirable blunders or maybe went a million-7 right this moment. he's a three element danger and super defensively. whilst the warmth could make a run, those people are on the floor - Joel Anthony, Bosh, Wade, LeBron, and Chalmers it is their maximum suitable protective place up. Eddie residing house, he's in simple terms super as a shooter yet is extremely streaky and that i myself do no longer think of he's that stable at spreading the floor lol.

Jason williams:10.3points 2.3rebounds 4.9assists 1steal average FG% and high FT%

Gary payton:5.4pts 2.2rbs 3ast 0.6stls low FG% and low FT%

so just looking at the stats you can tell jason williams is a better PG
