What is considered "part-time"? Of course, less than 40 hours--but on 'average' how many hours are given to part-time workers? 10/20/25//30/35??

20 hours per week (in 5 days)
Technically, it is a job of less than 4 hours per day.

It depends on the company's needs but normally around 20 hours per week. I once worked a part time job that was next to no hours at all and I needed money and was in college, then found out that I could get more hours from co-workers and worked almost full time with them. It hurt my grades though. Good Luck.

Part time means less than 20 hours a week.
What it really means is companies are using part time workers so they don't have to commit to a full time employee. A sort of disposable workforce really, but have you noticed that many part time workers these days, can work more than 40 hours a week, why?

Part-time employment is generally considered anything that is under 35 hours in a week, does not involve any overtime, has limited or no benefits.

I had a thrid-shift (night) job that was 35 hours, but was considered full-time.

The only part-time job I ever had, I was restricted to 20 hours.
