Buy a nice DVD player, buy your favorite movies, or whatever you like and stop watching the infernal thing, like me. And you could always spend more time answering questions on Yahoo. Forget that last bit, I don't want to be accused of getting you into something addictive.

I hate to say it, but I think a lot of people actually watch soap operas, DIY, antique, house, and reality TV shows. And what's worse, they like it. We've had rubbish on TV for so long now that we've forgotten what it's like to have real entertainment. Since the afore-mentioned programs are cheap to produce, and since few are complaining, UK TV will remain dull and lifeless.
