Well, my wife and I dont make much money. My wife is pregnant with our first child, and were tring to pay off our first home. We cant afford to fix the many problems with our house, and i want our baby to live in a safe place. The wiring in our house is outdated and the lights often flicker. The roof leaks and there isnt any insulation in our walls. Theres many other problems as well, but i would like to know if anyone knows of any assistance programs to help fix this stuff up. And if it helps, i live in Kansas.

They are the Community Services Block Grant folks (no cost/low cost re-hab).

If the lights flicker, you have a serious and probably dangerous electrical problem that needs to be corrected. As far as low income help, try your local welfare office - they can probably point you in the right direction, such as a Commission on Economic Opportunity, etc...

I'm not positive, but you might want to look at Habitat for Humanity. They may be able to help. I think they go on an income basis.
