Even as an Englishman I have to agree that Chris White bottled the decision to let Wales take the line-out. He was told by the TMO that time was up and changed his mind I feel!

in the beginning Italy are constantly getting screwed over by making use of refs so in some way possibly this grew to become into organic justice. Secondly wheter the ref made the incorrect determination or no longer relies upon on what he pronounced what i heard grew to become into "you have ten seconds left" what the Welsh declare is that he advised them they had time to take the lineout, if that's real it grew to become into unfair on the welsh, yet nevertheless an harmless mistake by making use of the ref. seem at it this manner what if after understanding he had erred in telling the welsh to take the lineout the ref come to a decision to permit play to proceed besides, then possibly the welsh might have scored even although time grew to become into in certainty somewhat up and the Italians ought to have gained the pastime, this might have been unbelievably unfair interior the Italians. hence i think of the ref made the wonderful of a undesirable difficulty. P.S i'm irish and am staring at this from an purpose point of view come on England in the present day! IF ye win we are able to win the Six countries!

Well once the ball is out of play after 80 mins the game is over. So technically the ref was right. But Hook should have gone for the draw. I was looking at it and couldn't believe he kicked it out. But the ref was somewhat to blame.
Felt sorry for the Welsh

Yes the ref was in the wrong - he told the welsh side if they kicked the ball into touch there would be time for a line out. If he'd said there'd be no line out, they'd have gone for the draw and there wouldn't have been a problem.

According to the rules no. However I think that it would have been prudent for the referee to inform the Welsh that they would not be given time to take the lineout. Otherwise they would have gone for the penalty. It was a really poor way to decide the outcome of the match.
