I would say Johan Santana. He is overhyped, but he truly lives up to it. He gets truckloads of wins each season, and he won't stop where he is. I think if he plays for a long enough time, 300 will be easy for him. I also expect him to get at least 20 wins closer to that goal this season with Justin Morneau, Joe Mauer, and Michael Cuddyer on offense and Joe Nathan to back him up.

Glavine and Johnson could be the last for some time. Mussina might reach 300. He needs 61 wins and at 38 years of age he will need to put together four solid seasons of 15 wins or more to get them. I guess that means he's got a 50-50 chance of reaching 300 wins.

The 5 man rotation has reduced the career starts for many a pitcher and in the long run will keep future pitchers from reaching the magic 300 win club. I don't see it happening for a very long time.

As u said Glavine(10 wins away), Johnson (20) are going to get 300. Mussina is37 yrs old and has239 wins. Math tells me he needs 59 wins. Thats about 20 wins a season if he plays 3 more seasons. About 15 wins if pitches 4 more seasons.
To answer your question, It will have to be someone young. Like Santana,Willis,orKazmir. With rotations being 5-man most of the time, They would have to be constitent all the time and stay healthy.

Well I don't see Mussina getting it but it's possible. The only other 2 I see that could get it are to young to tell.Oswalt and Sabathia.Sabathia was the youngest person in somthing like 50 years to get 80 wins and he will probably get 100 at age 26 or 27.Oswalt is a little older but he constantly wins 15+ games. Now for the older players besides the ones you said ,there are 3 pitcher who have an ever so distant shot.Pedro Martinez with 206 but he's hurt this year and is 35.Jaime Moyer could but he'd have to have some type of Miracle. Then David Wells has a vauge shot but I strongly doubt he'll get it.So Sabathia and Oswalt have the best shots but I don't think either of them will.

Honestly I think that Tom Glavine is the last 300 game winner we will see for a very long time, possibly a generation. I don't think Johnson makes it , the D'backs don't score runs like the Yankees do. Mussina's got a long way to go, ask me in another 3 years .

Pedro is 34 and has 206 if he gets healthy he has a shot. Zito Mulder & Hudson all have slightly more than 100 wins. Santana has 78 i think they have the best shot but when all is said and done 300 game winners will be no more. The 5 man rotation and pitch counts have done them in.

glavine, johnson is an old fart he will come close but he won't make it. mussina is getting up there but he still has a couple years left. maybe in 2-4 years he will reach 300

I would agree that Santana from the Twins will probably make it due to youth, ability, and run support...Another you may want to look at is Roy Oswalt from the Houston Astros. He is consistent with 15-20 wins a season and stays healthy for the most part...
Good question,thanks...

It's too early to tell about people like Santana, but he's looking good right now. If Pedro would ever stay healthy he could possibly hit it, but I doubt it. Mussina won't make it there.

with the 5 man rotation it will be very hard for any one to reach that milestone. glavine will more than likely be the last 300 game winner.
