Pre-treat (soak) with concentrated liquid detergent overnight or for a few hours directly on the spots. Then put the clothes through the laundry again and it should come out. In the worst case you might have to do this two or three times before they're fully gone.

My favorite home fix for grease spots of any kind whether it be cooking oil, Axel grease or diesel spots on clothing is Dawn dish soap and a little bit of coke. Mix up 2 parts of the dish soap to 1 part coke then apply it to both sides of the fabric, rub it in a bit, and let it set for10 to 15 minutes, then launder as you always do. This has always worked for me even when my husband comes home with grease off the fifth wheel of his truck.

Dawn dishwashing liquid. It is the best thing! Gets out more stains out of clothes than specialty stain removers.
