Density = mass/volume
so volume = mass/density

volume of brass = 200g / 8.4 g cm^-3
=200/8.4
=23.8 cm^3

If you divide the mass by the density, the grams cancel out and you get 23.8 cubic centimeters. Always remember you can setup a math equation with the units and cancel out like terms in both the numerator and denominator just like with numbers.
