so this movie was late 80's early 90's. i don't remember too much about it but this lady had a little girl and she was a single mom. one night she left to go to school or work and left her little girl at home. the girl started cooking and playing and was wearing an indian outfit for school, she accidently plugged in too many things and blew a fuse. she was scared and called 911. the police came and took the girl away from her mom because they said she was an unfit mother. so threw the whole movie the mom is trying to get her daughter back

This is the movie called Taken Away with Valerie Bertinelli. I remember this movie and it was a pretty good movie.

Sounds to me like one of those "after school specials" or something. A movie that has a morale to it and a lesson learned.
