I want to restore deleted files, not those put in recycled file box but deleted earlier from that recycled file box. How is that done?

Sure no problem though it may take a little bit of extra software to get it done. See when you delete something your only clearing it's FAT table entry (although I'm not 100% clear on how NTFS works in this situation) and the data is still there. To recover it the software simply scours the hard drive until it runs into data that doesn't have a FAT entry. Then it attempts to recreate that FAT entry from the data stored on the drive sometimes missing just a few parts of the name of the file and sometimes missing whole pieces of the file. press the OOPS button! Gone forever, sorry. You may have an old version of what you are looking for, but once you empty the recycle bin, it's gone, unless you have special software to be able to access the FAT area. Norton used to have a program that would do that, but it is very dangerous as you could corrupt you hard drive, then you will need the OH Sh@T button. I have not found either of these on any known computers!!

windows has a restore command when you click on it in the recycle bin.
