Relaying and raising by about 3 inch 32sqm of paving slabs how much hardcore will i need approx. ??

at 100mm thats roughly 4inches you would need 3.2cubic metres, obviously you need 25% less at 3inches so roughly 2cubic metres . Remembering hard core is to give a sound base for laying your slabs then , on vibrating or packing down you will require approx 1cubic metre concrete sand for bedding down add cement mixed roughly at 20 to 1 weak but enough to bond .What you don t want is tons too much this ammounts may leave you 2 barrows of sand on whole numbers delivery ammounts best you ,ll get (better slightly over than under) hope its not 3x2s slabs back breakers best of luck (only way i answered some **** had double what you need)

Murray gave an excellent answer, but I would use fill sand instead of concrete sand, concrete sand is more fine and won't pack quite as well as fill sand, but it was otherwise dead on correct.

4 tons of hardcore ..its allso known as MOT plus at least a ton of sand to bed them ..i use building sand ..and the five dot method for laying
