I have avg free edition now do I have to download and install a firewall too.
I heard that an ant-virus would be enough for internet use.

Yes you should have a firewall also. Try the free Comodo firewall. I just downloaded it to go with my AVG and it works great!

XP has it's own firewall however zonealarm free firewall is better.
As for AVG anti-virus program, you do know that this is a very poor AV program & it won't be long before your asking the question "HELP I'VE GOT A VIRUS & AVG WON'T REMOVE IT" - Get youeself a better AV program.

yes dear You need a Firewall too.
AVG's free edition doesnt work as a firewall. You need to buy a full version or use a firewall too.

You need a firewall also. By the way, I recently got up a Trojan that AVG didn't pick up.

You definitely need a firewall of some sort. If you have Windows XP or up, You can always enable it.

well, i guess so! but i really don't think AVG is a good choice! PLUS, it's "free edition" you're using!
