The person whom u r seleting should be suitable for your family. In tradition, respeting the elders feelings and follow them. without any hesitation As a whole he or she must be a homely person.

If your parents love you enough, they will accept your love marriages irregardless of whom you want to get married to... You are the one who has control over your love life and you don't make them accept your love marriages...some parents may be a bit difficult to handle though...

Be good to them. Prove that you are wise enough to make decisions, prove that you are responsible, introduce your partner to your parents and het him/her prove to them that he/she is the best suite for you, meet his/her parents and impress them, abide to your duties.
Parents don't usually agree for love marriages because they don't trust their children. Secondly they realize that the success rate of love marraiges are far lower than arranged marriages. However if you could win their trust, they would never say no for love marriage too.

love any form asks for sacrifice... but i don't say u need to sacrifice ur personal affair for ur parents ..who are anyways gone part with u after ur marriage to whomever so why not marry ur loved one ... i know by this time u have decided abt ur marriage ...
now to convince ur parents it needs lots of patience and utmost trust in ur BF since ur parents will use all possible plans to break ur mind ... starting with emotional blackmail to mass suicide ... but good news is they wont commit suicide ... if they wanted to sacrifice so much why would they fight ....
my last piece of advice ..... this is the turning point of ur life ...make sure u know everything abt ur bf ... it helps in reducing any misunderstanding and also proves to ur parents how serious ur abt this issue ...

You still should love your parents no matter what.... Even though they marry you should stilll love them and also when you marry they should still love your for you and you should still love them as your parents.
