You're wondering whether having a mostly democrat government at the federal level would affect the divorce rates. HMMM.....

Perhaps you are thinking that having democrats in control of Washington would make American society more sexually permissive and anti family? Consider that studies have shown that the divorce rates are higher in red states than in blue and that Massachusetts has the lowest divorce rate in the country.

Could the Democrats in Washington make divorce easier to get and thus increase the prevalence of divorce? Divorce laws are determined by the individual states, so it doesn't matter which party is power nationally. Also consider that the no fault divorce laws were adopted by the various states in the 1970's and 1980's, and that we had a Republican president for 16 out of those 20 years.

The divorce rate has been climbing for the last 60 years. It doesn't seem to make much difference which party is in the White House. There seems to be a continuing break down of the family unit for various reasons.

This isn't a political problem. It's a social problem. If you Republicans weren't such deviants - Dem's wouldn't have to divorce you.

How arrogant about the little knowledge you have on the Dem's Family values to you Republicans. Last survey taken and reported in the news was that you guys breed faster than the Dem's, and less than the libbies.

I'd like to see where you got that statistic from.

But anyway, if leading by example is important, the divorce rate among Guiliani, McCain, Gingrich and Romney is 75%.

The divorce rate among the Democratic candidates is 0%.
