simply ignore and donot react. this is in my view is the best way to stop verbal abuse by someone.one should also try to find out the root cause of the verbal abuse and should take corrective action

How can there be verbal abuse when you are unaware of who is delivering the abuse? This doesn't make sense.

If they are making factual statements it's not abuse. If they don't know you than block them if online.
