"Give three examples when a business would use a formal method of written communication and three examples when informal written communication would be used."
I was thinking:
Formal - reply to a customer complaint, warning to an employee, offering an interview to a potential new employee.

Informal - quick notice of a meeting, ? , ?

Are they any good?!?!?!

For your formal, I think it should be correct.

For informal, I think it will be something like sending internal email about work matters, writing a short note to inform a surbordinate to see the boss and instructions on amending some documents.

Formal written are items such as letters to customers, minutes of meetings, reports to shareholders, invoices to customers.

Informal written are memos, emails, "while you were out " messages, notices on noticeboard

Good Luck

Yes I think they're good.

Thinking about the informal ones, under what other circumstances might it be suitable to use informal communication (feedback, social?)
