Yes.
I have seen many things in my lifetime which I could not identify and were flying. One of the problems that we humans have is generally poor vision (compared to an Eagle, Owl or a Hawk) and exceptionally bad distance/size estimation capabilities. When things are far from us they look small when in fact they might ge gigantic. When things are close to us they look huge, maybe much bigger than some little looking thing far away. It is hard to get people to understand how size changes with distance. So, without proper training, most people cannot judge distance and size correctly.
Velocity is another factor which is difficult to estimate by common people. When an object is close to us and moving at a fixed speed, it appears to be moving very fast. When it is far away but still moving at that same fixed speed, it appears to be moving very slowly. In addition, movement directly toward you, or away from you, is often almost impossible to detect at a distance. The object often appears to have stopped completely when in fact it is approaching or moving away.
I have not run across any objects which contained extraterrestial life forms in my travels as yet. But, I do look
forward to the continued search for them, and other strange things which one finds in this wonderful world we live in.

I wish, but I would assume that if you are smart enough to travel the universe; you are smart enough to do the research so not to get in trouble on another planet. I would never fly a helicopter over a military base, without permission, why would a UFO go zipping around durring the day.
