2 part answer
Would I like to see it, probably
Is it likely, not plausible in a thousand years. Markets in Canada to small, stadiums too small, game too different.

Would I like to see it. No, as the CFL has unique rules that make it a different game. A merger would likely kill this.
Due to differences in talent levels and rules, the odds of it ever happening are slim to none. Another problem is that the general CFL market size could not support the NFL. Montreal and Vancouver might fit that bill. Toronto would, but people in Toronto don't support anything except the Maple Leafs when it comes to sport. Calgary and Edmonton would have issues as they have just reached the 1,000,000 base. As for the others in Hamilton, Regina and Winnipeg...no way, no how as the cities are simply not big enough.
Seems to me, back when Vince McMahon started his XFL there was a rumour that he tried to buy the entire CFL to make it part of his new league...mind you, I have issues with how many people would come out to watch football in Winnipeg and Regina in February...not questioning their support of their teams, more about the sanity of being out in really low temps.

I'm a big fan of both leagues and I appeciate the uniqueness of both. CFL teams are based in non-viable markets for NFL franchises. They would disappear in five years or less.
Which doesn't mean that the CFL is less good. It's simply not the same approach to the game...

The NFL already owns a piece of the CFL. The best we could ever hope for is a system like soccer in England, where there is a premier division, then lower divisions after that.

No Way!!!
The Grey Cup is a far superior championship atmosphere and the CFL is a way more spontaneous and exciting game.
Everything that the NFL does is overly choreographed to the point of being outright boring.

yeah, i can't wait to see the 105 yard fields, 59.17 yeards wide and 15 yard endzones, lol. Man, and those Canadiens are just rougher and tougher... the NFL has grown soo... whatever. In other words, I bet they don't call roughing passer everytime a defenseman hit QB... so yeah it would be nice. Field goal I guess would be smack in the middle of the endzone.

There'd be too many teams, so no.
It would be interesting though to see a NAFL.
(NAFL stands for North American Football League.)

our field is too big for sissy NFLers
they need an extra down to go 10 yds
i think a merger would be impossible
how about this? each years grey cup and superbowl winners play each other for north american championship.(Canadian rules on a Canadian sized field, of course)
think your NFL sissies could keep up?

i'm afraid that that would make fans not be so loyal to their game, or team... there would be too much to choose from...
