I just had an operation on my left toe,the doc just cut the skin or im not sure,maybe the bones,but anyway,the pain is killing me!!...they've given me painkillers and panadols,but it doesnt work,i cant concentrate doing anything,and its hard to sleep at night...i went to the A&E last night to change the painkiller to a stronger one but it still doesnt help..pls is there anything that can be done to lighten the pain,,it like,comes and go...of coz it is being bandaged.

probably you had your ingrown removed
of course there will be an incision.
painkillers need time to take effect.
use other distractionary measures make yourself busy.
ambulate to promote circulation
eat protein rich foods to promote skin healing tissue repair
maintain hygiene infection is bad and more painful

The first answer is quite right, you can distract it by making yourself busy or by turning your attention on other things. You can also talk to your friends, talk a lot of things until the pain subside. You can also watch humorous movies because it might help.
