An animal weighs 100 pounds plus half of his weight. How much does he weigh?

My friend gave me this riddle and I cannot figure it out.

Let animal's weight= x pounds
acc. to the question-

100+ x/2= x
or, (200+x)/2= x
or, 200+x= 2x
or, 200= 2x-x
or, x= 200

Therefore, the required weight of the animal= 200 pounds

A two hundred pounder would weigh one hundred plus 1/2 of 200, which is 100+100, which = 200

100 + x/2= x
200 +x =2x
x = 200
