Fruits Basket - it is about an orphaned girl named Tohru who started living together with Yuki Sohma, one of her classmate who most girls in school falls in love with. She then finds out about his darkest secret about his family. That is a curse; if they are hugged by the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. But, the Sohma Family curse is certainly no laughing matter... it also holds horrible cruelity and heartbreak.

Ouran high school host club - Haruhi is a poor tomboyish student at a school for the ultra-wealthy, able to attend because of a scholarship, and unable to even afford a uniform. One day, she stumbles across the decidedly peculiar but very popular Ouran Host Club. She tries to leave, but accidentally breaks a vase, and unable to pay for it, she's told that she'll have to stay and do odd jobs. Not realizing she's female due to her appearance, they fix her up and give her a male uniform. She's an instant hit, so they decide to have her keep up the charade even after they find out the truth.

Nice choice of animes already. How about I recommend some good 24 episoders?

1. Samurai 7 - It has the best charecter development in any anime. after all it was based on the best of japanese film classics (but I think they might of taken it out of youtube now)

2. samurai champloo - a hip hop twist to some of japan's historical happenings of that era. pretty entertaining

3. Witch hunter robin - pretty good drawings. storyline got really interesting after 11 episodes. the ending is a mystery too! waiting for a 2nd season perhaps

but hey those are just some of the stuff I enjoyed. Also hoping to be introduced to an interesting anime someone suggests

Cooking Master Boy (An anime about a young cooking prodigy who sets off on a journey to be a best chief in china and even the world),
Rumbling hearts OVA (A spin off to one of the most romantic, life changing anime out there. The original is so much better. I suggest you watch this first cause once you seen the original, you'll never want to watch this),
Prince of tennis (If you are into sports especially tennis for that matter, than this is for you).

I really liked "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi". It's a romantic comedy with sci-fi elements. It's got great characters and lots of funny dialogue. The episodes are out of order, but that's the way they were released. The first episode, where the characters show the video they've made for their school's culture festival, is great. This series is big in Japan right now, too.

Fullmetal Alchemist
it's about two brothers who try to bring their mother back using alchemy, but it fails. the older brother Edward loses his leg & sacrifices his arm for his brother Al's soul. He seals his brother's in a suit of armor. Ed gets automail (metal Arm & leg). They search for a fabled stone to get their old bodies back.

I love this series, & i've seen most of the eps. there's a movie but the movie is not that great.

Another one is Inuyasha

it's about a half demon, the begining is good, but the plot gets dumb.

Full metal panic Second Raid is good!
Kiba is good too.If u like movies containing some mystical thing, u will like this anime.
Why dont u try Tsubasa Chronicle? I think it is a good romantic and action anime.
Full metal alchemist, Neon genesis Evangelion,death note, erementar gerad are good anime. u should try them.

I like inuyasha, its the best show ever but u gotta watch alot of episodes to get into it. Inuyasha is a half-demon with cute little dawg-ears! I LOVE U INUYASHA!!!!!!!
