Some people are more equal than others. I prefer standing out in a crowd, not joining in. Acceptance is indeed internal. Unless or until you can accept yourself for what you are and what you aspire to be, the opinions of others will little matter.

You asked a simple question with no religous conitation. Why is religion always bought up? My answer is yes.... everyone should have equality under the law, in Australia gay's can not marry, they can not adopt a child, give blood within 9 months of having unprotected sex (hahum how many hetrosexual couples have homosexual sex...), there is no equality and Im not talking in the eyes of God I am talking in the eyes of our fellow man/woman. As for acceptance, you dont need it you are right! look within you dont need anyones acceptance except your own.

No I do not agree. Equality under the law does not prevent hate crimes, prejudice discrimination etc....
Without acceptance, equality under the law means nothing.
However, since homosexuality unfortunately will most likely never be accepted by society, since in my opinion (no offence) it is not natural. Equality under the law is the next best thing.

alot of countrys were built on either Christian or catholic princeables, so the laws of the land are based on the laws of the bible.
and you have to understand that no matter what there are going to be people that dont like gay people. I am sorry to say but there just going to have to put up with it.

that a very meaningful sentence. yes..by just making it the law..its not necessary that people would start accepting gay people...but most probably it will help in people's aceptance. i personally have no problem with gay people..n i think noone else should as its their life n thus their choice.

ASK God that same sex people want equality...
let me tell you. same sex couples will not reproduce the babies unless gay man has to get a woman if gay man wants to have a child
