1st. plug it into YOUR computer, not your friends.
2. Open iTunes
3. Click on your iPod and go to settings
4. choose NOT to automatically sync the iPod
5. plug it in your friends computer
6. choose the songs you want to copy and drag them on your iPod icon in iTunes.

No!! Don't plug it to your friends computer.. it will erase EVERYTHING... but!! There is one way not to erase it......
simple! Use your iPod as a hard disk.. then when you use your computer.. the songs is inside your iPod(hard disk.. not iPod.. you can't play songs that are in the hard disk.). Then you save the songs into your computer.. that's the way.. hope that helped.. =D

yup every single one of them except games.it will even erase videos.my sis has 4 ipods and everytime she used it on a different computer it erased all the songs except the songs she was uploading right then and there.dont connect your ipod to his computer.just put all the songs he or her has on a cd and then when you go to your pc or mac put the cd on itunes and then upload it.
