Some people feel the need to explain that our "hearts" have no feeling. Be that as it may, the heart has always been a symbol of love & emotion. So! On that premise, I have to say--the head & heart work in perfect harmony if one lets them. Equal parts can keep your feet on the ground, & your "heart" in the clouds. Great combination. TOO much of one or the other "can" lead to disaster. I "listen" to both!

This question is a restatement of the very profound question that has been considered by mankind for centuries. In Bhuddist tradition, two paths are discussed, the path of the head and the path of the heart. Both paths lead to the same objectives, and each path has its particular challanges. I would refer you to an excellent book (not too long, but extemely philosophical) which develpoes the theme far better than I am able. The title is "The Voice of the Silence" It is divided into three parts, and the second part is the discussion of the two paths. Having studied this text for some time, I have concluded that I walk a walk that straddles the two paths. I tend to be a bit more cerebral, logical, and thinking, than I am compassionate. I suppose this means I am listening more to the voice in my head than the feeling in my heart. As I reflect on this, I wish I could be more compassionate. I am not convinced I am in control, at least at a conscious level, of this characteristic of my being.

I will listen to the feeling in my heart according to the situation. Though the voice in my head tells something but we follow what the heart feels in that particular time.
But we have to listen the words what our mind tells. Its good for future.

A strong feeling overrules the voice of the Head.... but the voice of the Head has a longer life and sustainability... feelings have fleeting influence, though powerful.

For me, ALWAYS the feeling in my heart, because then you never regret what WAS. One of the worst feelings in the world, for me, is regret, so why would you want to be stuck wondering what could have been? The heart usually says go, and the mind says no. The only reason you would say no is because you wouldn't want to get hurt, but life is for living! Take the chance!

I have to agree, that is a hard one. But, I believe listening to the little voice in your head will give you a better outcome in the long run. Us HUMANS-love to fall in love, because its an uncontrollable feeling, (we cannot control that love feeling we experience, I think that's why we love to fall in love,,, But fore-sure your inner voice will lead you the right way.

Anyone whos says that their hearts get them in trouble is correct. Those who disregard logic to follow their heart is a fool. And, fools have usually been the happiest humans I have ever met.
Like ALL social things, there is a middle ground. Find it, and walk it proficiently, as if you are the creator of your romantic destiny.

The feeling in your heart is emotional, so it is not rational. I would listen to the feeling in my head, as it is logical. Emotions are not facts, they are feelings. Logic, is when you contemplate what is the correct thing to do.
If you hate someone so badly that you want to punch him, that is emotion. But if you really think about it, then that is logic. Logic is knowing right from wrong.

the voice in my head. if i follow my heart it is usualy wrong and will eventualy lead to its own heart break. if you follow your heart then that means that you let you emotioins control you. but the voice in your head controls the emotions and gives you common sense to decide whether you should pursue the feelings in your heart
