UK ANSWER

You say you are 'opening a Charity'. I don't understand what you mean.
In order to establish a Charity, there are very strict rules set down by The Charities Commission and failure to register with them and collecting money would be deemed a criminal offence if you said it was a collection for charity.
In addition, the Local Council would have to grant a licence for a Charity Collection to take place at the venue or on the street.
I think, if I read your question correctly, you are a long way off the position of 'opening a Charity'

I agree with Manchester - if you have to ask these basic questions - and in 'small business' - you are not ready to set up a charity. See the Charity Commission website for background to what we mean and then go and see your local Council for Voluntary Service (umbrella body for charities), who will give you free help. See www.navca.org.uk for your nearest.
