16 - Driving is made legal
18 - You're considered an adult
21 - You're legally allowed to marry.

register for war and vote at 18 in some countries
that was the original celebration
now judging by some of the programs on air it is an excuse to show brats spending their idiotic parents money on tv.

at 16 i was in school with no responsibility, at 18 i was married,and had to much responsibility, so i don't think either b'day is special.

I'm not sure but i think 16 has to do with a ladies "come-out" and 18 you are classified as an adult.

At 16 you get your driver's license, and at 18 you get to move out on your own and vote.

Sweet sixteen. When I was that age you could date and learn to drive.
Eighteen, regisiter to vote, register for the draft when I was that age, you could leave home, legally, it is when you are considered an adult and can drink in some places.

sixteen becuase u can drive and 18 because "you're an adult" and u can go into clubs and then 21 you can drink for real, and 25 your insurance goes down.. after that it's all downhill! LOL
