300 Spartans fought against ~ 1000 Persians (from a Persian army (about 20,000)) , but the movie 300 is a big damn lie.

History channel had a special on the 300 last night. They said that there was more than 300 at the start but when the Persians made a move to surround the Spartans some left but 300 stayed to fight to the end. The Spartans killed tens of thousands with the small army because they made the Persians come at them in a narrow pass. I can't wait to see the movie, it's playing at a I-Max theater in my town.

In the movie, 300 Spartans took on a 1,000,000 people from the Persian empire (not all were persians) and they had help, but they never said how many Arcadians/Thespians where in the movie. In real life, there were 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians and about 6,000 other soldiers with them.... most of them left after the third day but the Spartans and Thespians stayed. The number of the Persian army has been debated, and some believe that it was only between 100,000 - 250,000 soldiers, not 1,000,000.

300 Spartans
300 is a 2007 film adaptation of the graphic novel 300 by Frank Miller about the Battle of Thermopylae. The film is directed by Zack Snyder with Frank Miller attached as an executive producer and consultant, and was shot mostly with bluescreen to mimic the original comic book work.

I agree, with some reservations. fairly, i imagine it replaced into extra about religious bigotry than something else. at present white human beings have began to imagine, "Why worry workout at the same time as all different races are extra useful at sports than we are?" So, lots of muscular white adult males. WHY each of the conflict and strife? no longer a lot slavery as racial purity and a christian martial perfect it truly is very imprecise lately. call them angels and phone the Persians demons and it would not replace something about the movie (except that one trippy bit on the starting up, besides the undeniable fact that the monks were of course corrupted by evil.) i does no longer say Frank Miller is fairly to blame for the way the message got here forth to me although. short movie, lengthy photo novel. i might want to might want to confirm the unique to say the message I were given fairly got here from Miller.
